Bowties and Red Lips...

Kerrie and Allen were married last summer at Templars Barn in West Berkshire. This wedding was perfect in so many ways, all of which were captured so thoughtfully by their photographer.

Kerrie's bouquet contained home grown and British blooms to give her the 'just picked' feel she was looking for, and the theme was followed through to the tables and reception. Kerrie was the easiest most laid back bride, she knew what she wanted but was happy to let me bring it all together for her and Allan.

Kerrie's attention to detail was inspiring, her talented mother made beautiful papercut bunting to hang in the barn, each piece taking an hour to cut - there were at least 50!! Kerrie folded 1000 paper cranes for her wedding day, a lovely Japanese tradition that you can read about here

Templars Barn was the perfect backdrop to the day, providing quirky photo opportunities utilising the old stables, grain store and barns. The stunning barn with its old oak beams and posts were shown off by the addition of the bunting, drawing the eye up to the pink ceiling. Kerrie added jam jars with insides coated in copper glitter and t-lights to every ledge in the barn creating a cosy feel later into the evening.

The catering and amazing bar was provided by Kerrie's boss, Paul Clerehugh, chef and restaurant owner of The London Street Brasserie and The Crooked Billet. Find out more about their outside catering here

The very talented photographer for this wedding was Philippa James, who has definitely made it on to my recommended supplier list - beautiful photography, really making use of every corner of the venue and framing every shot to perfection.

Congratulations Kerrie and Allen you were a joy to work with. Enjoy married life!
