Meet Alicia…

Established in 2009 by lead floral designer Alicia, the Wessex Flower Company grew from the desire to curate and style beautiful things. To bring together the seasons with creative colour palettes, scent, and texture to tell a personal story with luxuriant florals.

My style is inspired by the countryside around me, what you see outside the window, naked, in bud, or blossoming, is what drives my creativity when designing a floral scheme. I like to open the door of a church, barn or country house and feel as though a breeze has snuck in, carrying with it the scent of summer or the golden leaves of autumn. 

Using these thoughts as the bones of the design, I add layers by choosing beautifully abundant focal flowers, creating interest with texture, and incorporating a plethora of scent which will prove evocative in the future.

My designs are loose and wild in nature, with their natural botanical formation taking centre stage. Each flower is handpicked for its colour, scent or form, every stem serves a purpose.

My floral signature appeals to discerning and creative couples, for whom flowers form an integral and important part of their wedding. 

When I’m not designing the perfect floral narrative, you’ll find me in my workout gear, running around the lanes in West Berkshire training for the London Marathon 2024. I also love to walk, and last year I completed the Cotswold way with a friend, 105 miles in a week!

My studio is based between Newbury & Hungerford in West Berkshire, and I cover the surrounding counties of Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Surrey and the Cotswolds. I have 18 years of experience, so your wedding florals are in very capable hands.
